A STUNTMAN was stabbed by a bayonet on Brad Pitt\'s new film - one of many horrific on-set accidents ranging from deaths to boiled bits.
The latest victim of a movie stunt gone wrong was flown to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford after he was stabbed in the shoulder on the set of Pitt\'s new movie Fury.
While he \'left the set laughing and talking,\' about the accident, other Hollywood actors and stuntmen have not been as fortunate or as humoured by their injuries in some cases.

Channing burns his private bits
Hunky actor Channing Tatum was the victim of a hot water accident, where part of his penis was burnt in an on-set accident while he was filming The Eagle in Scotland.
Tatum had to wade into freezing water in a wetsuit, and he said the only way to keep warm was by pouring a mix of boiling water and river water down your suit.
\'We were finally done shooting for the day, and one of the crew guys asks if I want to warm up before I go. I\'m like, Nah, I\'m good. And then I thought, Why not? Thing is, he\'d forgot to dilute the kettle water. So he poured scalding water down my suit. And I was trying to pull the suit away from my body to somehow get away from the boiling water, and the more I pulled the suit away, the lower the water went. It just went straight down and pretty much burned the skin off the head of my d**k.\'

He was rushed to a hospital, put on morphine and eventually healed.
\'It was the most painful thing I have ever experienced in my life,\' he says, flipping through photos on his iPhone until he lands on a grainy snapshot of a scorched member.
\'I'm good .. now,\' he says with a grin. \'Now my penis is fantastic! One hundred per cent recovered. Put me back in the game, Coach.\'

During a particularly aggressive moment for his character, Calvin Candie, DiCaprio slammed his hand on a table so hard that he broke a glass and cut his hand.
\'Blood was dripping down his hand,\' producer Stacy Sher told Variety.

The scene where DiCaprio cut his hand is the one in the finished film.
This isn\'t the first time an actor has cut himself for the sake of art. Perhaps the most famous incident is Orson Welles, who cut his hand destroying a room in Citizen Kane; Welles hid his hand out of frame to continue the shot and not blow the take.
Aussie stuntman still battles with Hangover II injury
Australian stuntman Scott McLean still requires 24-hour care and oxygen after he suffered injuries in Bangkok while filming The Hangover: Part II in 2010.
McLean suffered \'permanent brain and physical injuries\' and has \'ongoing seizures, speech impediments, physical impediments and brain trauma\' from the crash.
The accident happened during a high-speed car chase that went wrong during filming. He was a passenger in a car. There was a quite a severe crash.

It was not considered a dangerous stunt at the time.
McLean later sued Warner Brothers after he was left brain damaged.
In court documents filed in Los Angeles, McLean, who played Ed Helms\' stunt double in the movie, alleged the Hollywood studio giant was negligent over the Bangkok car chase.
The lawsuit sought unspecified financial compensation for injuries sustained.
As of this year, McLean is still reportedly battling with Warner Bros over medical costs, two years after the horrific injury, even after he agreed to a confidential out-of-court settlement in 2011.
Sienna Miller nearly burns her breasts
The star of the 2009 film G.I. Joe The Rise of Cobra revealed she nearly burnt her breasts making the film.
Speaking at an event in Sydney, Australia, to promote the film, she said she nearly suffered the rather undignified occurrence when an explosion got too close for comfort.

But thankfully it was just a rather close call.

Harry Potter\'s stuntman paralysed
Daniel Radcliffe\'s stunt double suffered serious spinal injuries on the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in 2009.
David Holmes was rehearsing a flying scene involving an explosion when he plummeted to the ground.
He remained conscious but told crew members: \'I can\'t feel my legs.\'

Holmes, a former competitive gymnast, was taken to hospital, and has been wheelchair-bound since 2011, though no recent updates about his condition are reported.
A source said: \'It is thought he may have been caught by the explosion and hit the ground very hard.\'
Jason\'s near-death experience as a \'bad, bad dude\'
On The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to promote The Expendables 3 movie, which is due out in 2014, actor Terry Crews revealed a serious incident that took place while filming, which he called a \'near-death experience.\'
\'We were doing a stunt and Jason Statham was driving the truck,\' Crews said.
\'We were supposed to be on the back of this truck. For some reason, we\'re over there talking, sipping smoothies, like yeah, yeah, you know. He gets in the truck; we\'re in Varna in Bulgaria, on the edge of the Black Sea. He literally is supposed to stop the truck, we get out, we shoot, the whole thing. The truck doesn\'t stop. The truck goes over the dock, into the Black Sea with Jason Statham driving.\'

Fatal shot leaves Brandon Lee dead
On March 31, 1993, the world was left in shock after American actor and martial artist Brandon Lee was accidentally shot and killed in North Carolina.
He was accidentally killed with a .44 magnum gun which was intended to fire blanks but contained a bullet left behind after a dummy round had been inserted and removed.

Stallone and Schwarzenegger suffer battered shoulders together
A stuntman involved in a planned explosion died on the Bulgarian set of The Expendables 2.
The man was working with a fake bomb explosion in a rubber boat, and died in an accident that also injured two other performers working in a reservoir in the town of Elin Pelin.
Producers NuImage/Millenium Films confirmed the death in a statement released to the press: \'It is with great regret that we confirm this unfortunate accident. Our hearts go out to the families and those on the production affected by this tragedy. The filmmakers are working closely with the authorities in responding to and investigating this accident.\'
Veteran actors Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone also were coincidentally being treated in hospital for stunt-related injuries from the set.

Former Governor of California Schwarzenegger posted a picture on his Whosay account page saying: \'After all the action, stunts and physical abuse shooting The Expendables 2 and The Last Stand, it was time for a little tune up on my shoulder. On the set of Joss Whedon\'s big-budget Avengers movie, stuntman Jeremy Fitzgerald was injured while performing a death-defying stunt that featured a 30-foot fall from a building.
He caught his foot on the way down, causing his head to slam into the bricks.
